I’ve been a member of the Wealthy Affiliate program for quite a long time, two years to be in fact.  And during the course of that time, the program has changed quite a lot.  While the core of the program has always stayed the same, there have been a lot of additions to the program which I have found to be very beneficial to me and my online business.

One of those changes has been the implementation of the Wealthy Affiliate Share Zone.  The Share Zone is a place where each member of the community can share his or her knowledge, tricks, shortcuts and money making methods with everyone else.  It’s easy to set up a pdf, a video, or a step by step tutorial to show everyone just how to do what it is that you’re telling them about.

One of my favorite Share Zone tutorials is one by Justin Brooke of SiteFling.com.  He wrote up a tutorial called the Oprah method, which explains how to get a lot of traffic to a hot topic so you can make major affiliate commissions.

Here’s the short version of what you’ll be doing: You’ll head over to Oprah.com and see what she’s slated to talk about three days from now.  Then you’ll create a quick page geared at whatever the topic will be.  If it’s a product, you’ll put up your affiliate link, and if its not, you can just put adsense on, or find some other way to monetize it.

Then you’ll write up articles and submit them to every web 2.0 property you can think of, like Ezine Articles, Go Articles, hubpages, and any other sites you like to post on.  Then make sure to do some major bookmarking.  Since most of the topics Oprah talks about aren’t that popular until after she speaks about them, there probably won’t be a lot of competition right now.  But you can expect a surge of traffic- and profits- after she speaks about it, and you’ll own the first page of the SERPs so that you can cash in on it.
